What to Expect
Whether you’ve attended church your entire life or never been at all, we know it’s not always easy visiting a new church for the first time. You are unsure of what to expect and you probably have some questions. We at the Worcester Family Church want you to have the best experience possible.
Here is some information that should help:

What time are the Services?
Our doors will open every Sunday at 9:30 am with awesome confections and some fresh brewed coffee. The Service starts at 10 am sharp, and ends around 11:15 am. There is still time for fellowship and snacks until noon when the doors close.

Where are the Services held?
WFC meets at the MLK Business Empowerment Center, 237 Chandler St. Worcester, MA 01609. Once you enter the building there will be signs and our friendly ushers to guide you.

What happens when I arrive?
As you enter the building, you will see our smiling ushers greeting and showing you the way. While you wait for the congregational songs to start, feel free to enjoy the drinks and refreshments in the foyer, mingle and browse the literature table.

What about my kids?
Our Sunday school is an interactive space for music, learning and play where our team of dedicated volunteers create a fun, safe, and loving environment. Your child will want to come back every week! We invite children from 5 to 10 to join us in a special kids’ room in the same building. Our ushers will be happy to direct or bring you, and introduce you to our wonderful teachers.

What is the Service like?
At first for about 15 min our worship band will lead the congregation in a few songs. We project the words to each song up on the screen, so you can sing along as much as you feel comfortable. Following the songs is the congregational greeting which gives a chance to look around and say “Hello” to your neighbors. Each message/sermon is approximately 30 minutes long, it explores eternal spiritual principles and applies them to your relationships and life in practical ways.

Right after sermon there are a few minutes of a quiet time for reflection, prayer, meditation accompanied by soft music, followed by time to make a donation. We do not expect you to give any money, but you are welcome to if you like. Then we invite you to pay attention to the screen and our MC for information about upcoming events and other announcements, followed by the closing song.

What should I wear?
Most of our congregation will have a dressy casual look, not too formal, but nice. Suits are optional. We hope choosing the right clothes doesn’t become an obstacle.

Any other questions?
We hope you will have a meaningful and stress-free experience when you visit. Was there something we forgot? Feel free to email us if you need any more information. We hope to see you soon!
